EXO leader Suho recently addressed the ongoing conflict between Chen, Baekhyun, and Xiumin—aka CBX—and SM Entertainment.

Suho recently held a wrap-up interview for the MBN weekend drama Missing Crown Prince with iMBC Entertainment held at SM Entertainment Building. The drama, a Joseon-era romantic comedy, follows Crown Prince Yi Gun (Suho), who faces a life-altering crisis after being abducted by a woman (Hong Ye Ji).

The interview about the drama inevitably turned to the legal battle between CBX and SM Entertainment. On June 10th, CBX, through their agency INB100 and legal representatives, held a press conference claiming that it was unfair to give 10% of their individual activity earnings to SM. In response, SM filed a lawsuit for contract enforcement, and CBX countered with a lawsuit demanding an accounting of their earnings.

Suho cautiously opened up about the issue. “I asked (them) what happened, and they told us exactly what was reported in the articles. They explained why they held the press conference and what requests they were making to SM.”

The rest of the EXO members found out about the press conference through the news on the same day. Suho admitted, “We were all taken aback and very upset. Similar issues arose last year, causing pain for EXO-Ls, and now it’s happening again. I feel most sorry for the fans. I really want to tell them I’m sorry.”

Suho also touched on the possibility of a new EXO album this winter. “Sehun and Kai are getting discharged from the military next year. We’ve been slowly preparing an album with SM. As the leader of EXO, I feel it’s my duty to ensure everything proceeds smoothly. However, I can’t make any promises, and that worries me,” he said.

Missing Crown Prince, which showcased Suho’s first historical drama role, concluded on June 16th with its 20th episode.
