Hyun Bin, Jung Woo Sung, Won Ji An, Seo Eun Soo, Cho Yeo Jeong, and Jung Sung Il have joined the cast of the upcoming Disney Plus original series Made in Korea.
Made in Korea is set in the turbulent 1970s and follows Baek Gi Tae, a man driven by ambitions of wealth and power, and prosecutor Jang Gun Young, who throws everything he has into stopping him. The series portrays their confrontations with major events that shape the era. The series is directed by The Man Standing Next helmer Woo Min Ho, making his debut in TV series direction, and has already generated significant buzz.
Hyun Bin is set to take on the role of Baek Gi Tae, a man whose ambition for wealth and power presents a fresh new side to the actor. Jung Woo Sung will play Jang Gun Young, a prosecutor with an animalistic instinct and fierce determination, adding depth and intensity to the drama.
Joining the cast are Won Ji An as lobbyist Choi Yoo Ji, and Seo Eun Soo as investigator Oh Ye Jin. Cho Yeo Jeong is set to captivate as Bae Geum Ji, while Jung Sung Il will portray Cheon Seok Joong, the chief secretary, bringing to life the upheaval of the era.
Made in Korea will be available exclusively on Disney Plus.
