In the latest episode of MBC’s Hangout with Yoo, Mijoo’s sister made her first-ever TV appearance.
On the July 6th episode, the show featured a segment titled ‘If You Go to Okcheon,’ taking the cast to Mijoo’s hometown. Mijoo’s sister, Yoon Ji, made a surprise appearance and met singer DinDin. Yoon Ji, who admitted to being nervous before her appearance, received a shower of compliments from the members for her sophisticated charms.
Mijoo playfully expressed her jealousy, saying, “You’re all saying she’s pretty,” and teasing her sister’s sweet voice by saying, “Are you going to keep talking like that? It’s annoying.” Yoon Ji described her singer sister as the one “who always tried to be good to our parents” while herself as “the affectionate, dutiful daughter.” Being just two years apart, the sisters fought often growing up, mainly over clothes. Mijoo proudly added, “We became best friends after becoming adults.”
When asked about Mijoo’s popularity, Yoon Ji candidly said, “I don’t know about Mijoo’s popularity, but I was quite popular back in the day.”
The sisters also revealed an episode from their past; when Mijoo said she wanted to become a celebrity, her sister told her to make herself cry within 10 seconds. And when she did, Yoon Ji helped convince their mom. She praised Mijoo, adding, “Mijoo went to Seoul alone for auditions. The family found out when she got the acceptance call at home, and that’s when she started getting everyone’s support. I’m so proud of her.”
As the members stepped aside, DinDin and Yoon Ji’s blind date began. When asked about her ideal type, Yoon Ji said she liked “manly men.” The rapper quickly asked for a second date, saying, “If this wasn’t a shoot, I would have worn my best outfit. Let’s meet again sometime in a more casual setting.” However, Yoon Ji drew a line, suggesting, “Let’s have a meal with Mijoo sometime,” prompting laughter from the members at DinDin’s less-than-successful attempt.
