The long wait is finally over – Korean superstar Song Joong Ki will make his small screen return with revenge drama “The Youngest Son of Chaebol Family”!
Song Joong Ki Confirmed to Star in “The Youngest Son of Chaebol Family”
After Vincenzo Cassano bid farewell and began living in a small island in Malta, Song Joong Ki will take on another enthralling role with a new drama, scheduled to kick off in 2022.
On July 20, E Daily and JTBC announced that the actor Song Joong Ki is confirmed to star in the new revenge series “The Youngest Son of Chaebol Family,” along with “Misaeng” actor Lee Sung Min.
Previously, the two were reported to have been offered the lead roles, and now, both have been confirmed to work closely for the project.
Fantasy-revenge drama “The Youngest Son of Chaebol Family” is based on the hit web novel of the same title. It circles around the story of a chaebol family’s secretary who gets reborn as the family’s youngest son.
Song Joong Ki is confirmed to play the character Yoon Hyun Woo, who dies after being wrongly accused for stealing from the Sunyang Group family that he served and had remained loyal to for years. He is reincarnated as Jin Do Joon, the youngest son of the chaebol’s family and will take over the company for revenge.
Meanwhile, “The 8th Night” actor Lee Sung Min is slated play as Jin Yang Chul, the competitive and rude head of the Sunyang Group.
“Hospital Playlist” actress Shin Hyun Bin and SNSD member Tiffany are also in discussions to join the powerful cast lineup.

What to Expect from Song Joong Ki New Fantasy-Revenge Series
Fans are already looking forward to seeing Song Joong Ki again in a new fantasy drama, following his superb portrayal in the historical-fantasy 2019 series, “Arthdal Chronicles.”
Song Joong Ki is expected to show again his outstanding performance by playing a challenging role in “The Youngest Son of Chaebol Family,” which fans now dub as a fusion of his characters as Vincenzo Cassano and Eunseom.
Meanwhile, Song Joong Ki has resumed filming his upcoming movie “Bogota” after undergoing self-quarantine. Aside from the big budget production, the film is also filled with star-studded cast, such as “Mouse” star Lee Hee Joon, Ryu Seung Beom, Jo Hyun Chul, and more.
