JTBC’s upcoming drama “Family by Choice” has shared new stills of its father characters!
“Family by Choice” is a romance drama that unfolds as three people who spent 10 years living together as a family, then 10 years apart as strangers, reunite and reconnect.
The latest stills highlight Yoon Jeong Jae (Choi Won Young) and Kim Dae Uk (Choi Moo Sung), the fathers of Yoon Ju Won (Jung Chaeyeon) and Kim San Ha (Hwang In Youp), respectively.
Yoon Jeong Jae, who runs a Kalguksu (Korean traditional noodle dish) restaurant, is portrayed as a warm-hearted figure dedicated to caring for their children’s meals and showing genuine affection for Kim San Ha and Kang Hae Jun (Bae Hyeon Seong), even though they are not biologically related.
In contrast, Kim Dae Uk, a corporal at a police station, demonstrates his care for the children in a different manner. Although he struggles with expressing his feelings verbally, he strives to be a reliable source of support not only for his son San Ha but also for Ju Won and Hae Joon.
The newly released stills capture Yoon Jeong Jae ladling soup for the children at a dinner table, while Kim Dae Uk is seen heading somewhere briskly with a bag of chicken. These moments offer a glimpse into the distinct ways each father shows their love, raising anticipation for how these relationships will be portrayed in the drama.
“Family By Choice” is set to premiere on October 9 at 8:50 p.m. KST and will air two episodes every Wednesday. Stay tuned!
