EXO’s Chen, Baekhyun, and Xiumin (EXO-CBX) have made clarifications regarding their activities with EXO.
Earlier on June 10, representatives of Chen, Baekhyun, and Xiumin held a press conference in which they detailed SM Entertainment’s alleged breach of settlement terms, to which SM Entertainment followed up with a statement refuting their points.
The following day on June 11, a media outlet reported that EXO was originally in talks to release music in winter and discussions regarding the release were carried out since the beginning of the year. However, the media outlet reported that this plan would be difficult to carry out following the dispute between Chen, Baekhyun, and Xiumin and SM Entertainment.
In response to the report, Chen, Baekhyun, and Xiumin’s agency INB100 released the following official statement:
The press conference on June 10 was held to publicly inform that it is unfair to pay 10 percent of the artists’ individual earnings to SM, who first breached the agreement.
This has no relation to the continuation of EXO’s full group activities, and CBX (Chen, Baekhyun, and Xiumin) promises once again to fans that they will earnestly participate in EXO’s full group activities with SM in the future.
