Cha Hak Yeon is set to star in a BL drama.
Xports News reported on November 26th that Cha Hak Yeon will take on the lead role in the upcoming drama The Killer Next Door (working title), which will premiere on an OTT platform.
The Killer Next Door is a Boys’ Love drama centered on the relationship between a professional baseball player and a fan. Cha Hak Yeon will play Yoon Jae, the devoted fan of the baseball player.
After debuting as N in the group VIXX, Cha Hak Yeon has steadily built his acting career. Last year, he appeared in MBC’s Joseon Attorney and tvN’s Castaway Diva. He is also set to star in MBC’s upcoming drama Labor Attorney No Mu Jin (working title) next year.
While Cha Hak Yeon has taken on a variety of acting roles over the years, The Killer Next Door marks his first project in the BL genre. With his proven talent, expectations are high for how he will tackle this new challenge.
Meanwhile, The Killer Next Door is reportedly in talks to stream on TVING.
