Cha Eun Woo has chosen his next project, and it’s a drama alongside Park Eun Bin.
Starnews exclusively reported on the 26th that Cha Eun Woo will star in the new drama The Wonder Fools (working title).
The Wonder Fools, originally known as The B Team, tells the story of “flawed superheroes” whose powers activate regardless of their will. While the project initially explored various adaptations, The Wonder Fools is now set to feature an original storyline.
Cha Eun Woo will portray Lee Woon Jung, a mysterious and socially awkward government official with a secretive past. Despite being a lonely character who finds it difficult to connect with others, he begins to understand the value of “us” after meeting Eun Chae Ni, played by Park Eun Bin.
The drama will be helmed by Yoo In Shik, the talented director behind SBS’s Dr. Romantic series and ENA’s Extraordinary Attorney Woo, with Heo Da Jung, known for adapting the popular film Extreme Job, penning the scripts. Production is being handled by Romantic Crew, Kakao Entertainment, and Fantagio. While the cast is still being finalized, filming is set to kick off later this year. The streaming platform for the release is yet to be announced.
Meanwhile, Cha Eun Woo recently appeared in MBC’s Wonderful World, which concluded in April. He has since engaged with fans globally through his fan concert “2024 Just One 10 Minute [Mystery Elevator],” and performed at the “Waterbomb Seoul 2024” event on July 5th at Kintex in Goyang, Gyeonggi Province.
