BTS’s Jin is soaring to new heights on Spotify with his first solo album!
On November 15, Jin achieved his biggest solo debut yet on Spotify with “Running Wild,” the title track of his new album “Happy.”
“Running Wild” debuted at No. 8 on Spotify’s daily Global Top Songs chart after racking up an impressive 4,936,542 streams on the first day of its release—marking a new personal record for Jin as a soloist.
The entry is now Jin’s highest solo ranking to date on Spotify’s global chart, beating his pre-release single “I’ll Be There” (which debuted at No. 9 last month).
All of Jin’s songs from “Happy” succeeded in entering Spotify’s daily Global Top Songs chart: in addition to “Running Wild” and “I’ll Be There” (which stayed strong at No. 20), “Heart on the Window”—his duet with Red Velvet’s Wendy—debuted at No. 99, “Another Level” at No. 106, “Falling” at No. 115, and “I will come to you” at No. 124.
“Running Wild” also debuted at No. 1 on Oricon’s daily digital singles chart in Japan, where all of the tracks from “Happy” made it into the top 20. “Falling” entered the chart at No. 9, followed by “I’ll Be There” at No. 11, “Heart on the Window” at No. 14, “I will come to you” at No. 15, and “Another Level” at No. 17.
Additionally, Jin achieved his highest solo first-day sales to date with “Happy.” According to Hanteo Chart, “Happy” sold an impressive total of 852,409 copies on the first day of its release—breaking Jin’s previous first-day sales record of 770,126 set by his 2022 solo single “The Astronaut.”
Congratulations to Jin on his new personal records!
