Prosecutors have filed a summary order against BTS member Suga for allegedly driving an electric scooter under the influence.

On September 10th, the Seoul Western District Prosecutors’ Office confirmed that Suga had been charged with violating the Road Traffic Act (drunk driving) and issued a summary order.

A summary order is typically requested in cases where the offense is considered minor. It allows the court to impose fines or penalties without proceeding to a formal trial. The amount requested by the prosecution has not been disclosed.

Suga was charged for driving an electric scooter while intoxicated near his residence in Hannam-dong, Seoul, on the night of August 6th. According to the police, his blood alcohol concentration was measured at 0.227%, far exceeding the legal limit for license revocation, which is 0.08%.

Suga had appeared at the Yongsan Police Station on August 23rd for questioning, during which he reportedly admitted to the charges.
