BTS’s Suga‘s DUI case has been forwarded to the prosecution.
The Yongsan Police Department in Seoul announced on August 30th that Suga had been transferred to the prosecution on charges of drunk driving but was not detained.
Currently serving as a social service worker, Suga is accused of riding the electric scooter while intoxicated around 11:15 PM on August 6th, near his home in the Yongsan district of Seoul. When he was found after falling from the scooter, his blood alcohol level was 0.227%.
The Yongsan Police questioned Suga for over three hours on August 23rd, during which he admitted to the charges.
After the investigation, Suga stated, “I deeply regret my actions. I want to sincerely apologize for causing so much pain and disappointment with my behavior. I am truly sorry and ashamed.”
