Boy band BoyNextDoor are set to make their Japanese debut with the single “AND” on the 10th of July, their agency KOZ Entertainment announced on Monday.
The band’s Japanese debut single will include an original Japanese song and Japanese versions of the band’s Korean songs ‘One and Only’, ‘But Sometimes’ and ‘Earth, Wind & Fire’, all of which will be released in 2023.
“KOZ Entertainment said in a press release, “Expectations are high for BoyNextDoor’s Japanese debut as the band’s second EP ‘HOW?’, which was released in Korea last month, has been well received in Japan.
BoyNextDoor debuted at number 2 on Oricon’s weekly album chart with ‘HOW?’ and topped Billboard Japan’s Hot Album chart.
BoyNextDoor released their debut single “WHO!” in May 2023 via KOZ Entertainment, a HYBE subsidiary founded by rapper Zico of Block B. The six members of the band include Sungho, Riwoo, Myung Jae-hyun, Taesan, Leehan and Woonhak.
The band is set to perform at the Summer Sonic 2024 festival in Japan, alongside a number of leading K-pop acts, including IVE and ZeroBaseOne.
