On Thursday, a video titled “BangPink in Your Area | BIGBANG and BLACKPINK Crossover” was released on the YouTube channel Zip Daesung. It showcases a surprising meeting between BLACKPINK’s Rosé and BIGBANG’s Daesung.
In the video, Daesung reflected on his relationship with Rosé, as both have built their careers at YG Entertainment. “It can be a bit complicated,” he confessed. “We’ve been acquainted for years, but due to our demanding schedules, we haven’t created many shared experiences.” He added, “One memorable moment was during BLACKPINK’s early days. I found myself in Japan for their promotional events, and I got to see them perform.” Daesung chuckled, stating, “We’re not unfamiliar with each other, but we’re not exactly close either. I felt uncertain about how to conduct this interview.”
When Rosé entered, Daesung enthusiastically greeted her, immediately transitioning into his hosting duties. Rosé teased Daesung for not knowing how to properly mix a somaek—a Korean drink made by combining soju and beer. “You don’t know how to mix a somaek? That’s surprising!” she joked before taking over the mixing herself. She playfully added, “Oh no, my mom’s going to be mad. She always advises me against drinking on TV.” Although she had her hesitations, Rosé couldn’t hide her joy, stating, “But this is the first time I’m having a drink since returning to Korea!”
Later, Daesung recounted a recent interaction with Rosé, saying, “Do you remember when we ran into each other at that event in Incheon after the filming was finalized? You were nice enough to ask for my number.” Rosé responded with laughter, “Yeah, I think we were all a bit tipsy, which made us act a bit closer than we actually are. You gave me some tips, and I was like, Oh, that’s some good advice! We exchanged a few messages after that.” She added, “I really wanted to be on this show. It seemed like it would be a great time since we share the same company.”
When the discussion turned to her alcohol tolerance, Rosé hesitated, looking around at the familiar faces present. Eventually, she admitted, “I’m usually the last one standing. Regarding my drinking habits? I become a cleaning machine when I get home.”
Rosé laughed, “I’m always taken aback when I wake up after a night out. I find flowers in vases, recycling sorted, my phone charged, and even my outfit for the following day prepared. Isn’t that crazy?” She explained her behavior, saying, “I think when I drink, I feel so good that I revert to a childlike state. That’s when I tackle all the chores I’ve been postponing.”
