BLACKPINK’s Rosé has made a record-breaking solo debut on the Billboard 200!
On December 15 local time, Billboard announced that Rosé had entered its Top 200 Albums chart (its weekly ranking of the most popular albums in the United States) for the very first time as a solo artist.
Rosé’s new solo album “rosie” has debuted at No. 3 on the Billboard 200, making her the first female K-pop soloist ever to enter the top 3 of the chart.
According to Luminate (formerly Nielsen Music), “rosie” earned a total of 102,000 equivalent album units during the week ending on December 12. The album’s total score consisted of 70,000 traditional album sales—making it the third best-selling album of the week in the United States—and 31,000 streaming equivalent album (SEA) units, which translates to 43.85 million on-demand audio streams over the course of the week. The album also racked up 1,000 track equivalent album (TEA) units in its first week.
Congratulations to Rosé on her impressive achievement!
