BLACKPINK’s Jennie has set a new record in the United Kingdom!
On October 18 local time, the Official Charts (widely regarded as the U.K. equivalent to Billboard’s U.S. charts) announced that Jennie’s new single “Mantra” had debuted at No. 37 on its Official Singles Chart.
The entry marks the highest ranking ever achieved by a female K-pop soloist on the Official Singles Chart, breaking the previous record of No. 38 set by Jennie’s bandmate Jisoo’s solo debut track “FLOWER” last year.
Meanwhile, “Mantra” also debuted at No. 3 on both the Official Singles Sales chart and the Official Singles Downloads Chart this week.
Congratulations to Jennie on her impressive achievement!
