BLACKPINK has achieved an exciting first in the United Kingdom!
The British Phonographic Industry (BPI) has now announced that BLACKPINK’s first studio album “THE ALBUM” has received an official gold BRIT certification.
According to the BPI’s certification thresholds, albums are certified gold at 100,000 units sold, while singles are certified gold at 400,000 units sold.
With this achievement, BLACKPINK has become the first female K-pop artist ever to go gold with an album in the United Kingdom.
