The stars of Channel A’s “Check in Hanyang” have shared their thoughts on what viewers can look forward to in the upcoming drama!
Set in the Joseon era, “Check in Hanyang” is a romance drama about youths who become “interns” at Yongcheonru, the grandest inn in all of Joseon. Bae In Hyuk will star as Lee Eun Ho, a prince who is secretly hiding his identity, while Kim Ji Eun will play Hong Deok Soo, a woman who disguises herself as a man to join Yongcheonru.
With the drama premiering tonight, each of the four leads dished on what they think viewers will enjoy most in “Check in Hanyang.”
Bae In Hyuk remarked, “An intriguing aspect [of the drama] is the diverse incidents and conflicts that arise between each of the characters.” He continued, “I think it’ll be even more fun to watch if you try to guess the relationships between the characters within each incident.”
Kim Ji Eun noted, “‘Check in Hanyang’ belongs to the historical youth romance genre, but what’s important is that it isn’t just a simple romance, and there are other stories to be told.” She went on, “Please give lots of interest to ‘Check in Hanyang,’ which possesses a wide variety of charms, not just romance.”
Jung Gun Joo will play the role of Cheon Jun Hwa, the heir to Yongcheonru. “‘Check in Hanyang’ is a drama that captures the joys and sorrows of young people,” he shared. “The drama isn’t too heavy [and is often lighthearted], so please enjoy watching it comfortably.”
Finally, DKZ’s Jaechan will play Go Soo Ra, an upstanding but ambitious young man who wants to restore his family’s lost honor.
“In this cold winter, I hope you’ll make sure to tune into ‘Check in Hanyang,’ which has stories of growth that will warm young people’s hearts,” said Jaechan. “Not only the drama’s cinematography, but also the charms of the irresistible four protagonists will capture your hearts. It’ll be a drama that melts the cold of this winter with the passion of youth.”
