Channel A’s upcoming drama “Check in Hanyang” has unveiled a sneak peek of Bae In Hyuk and Kim Ji Eun’s eventful first meeting!
Set in the Joseon era, “Check in Hanyang” is a romance drama about youths who become “interns” at Yongcheonru, the grandest inn in all of Joseon. Bae In Hyuk will star as Lee Eun Ho, a prince who is secretly hiding his identity, while Kim Ji Eun will play Hong Deok Soo, a woman who disguises herself as a man to join Yongcheonru.
In newly released stills from the upcoming drama, sparks fly between Lee Eun Ho and Hong Deok Soo during their first encounter.
The problem starts when Hong Deok Soo’s precious “red document” winds up falling into Lee Eun Ho’s hands. This crucial “red document” is the test verification slip required in order to take the Yongcheonru entrance exam—and because Hong Deok Soo needs to enter Yongcheonru in order to uncover the secret behind her father’s death, she went to great lengths to obtain it, even resorting to gambling.
In one photo, Hong Deok Soo glares fiercely at Lee Eun Ho while holding half of the ripped red document. In the next, Lee Eun Ho points the scabbard of his sword at Hong Deok Soo’s throat.
The “Check in Hanyang” production team teased, “From their first meeting, Lee Eun Ho and Hong Deok Soo will face off in a vicious conflict and leave a strong impression on each other. As they later begin to grow on one another, their constantly changing relationship will keep viewers hooked.”
They went on, “Please look forward to Lee Eun Ho and Hong Deok Soo’s youthful romance, which will be brought to life by Bae In Hyuk and Kim Ji Eun’s flawless chemistry.”
