aespa has swept the top spot on multiple Billboard charts with their latest mini album!
Although aespa’s “MY WORLD” was originally released in Korea and on digital platforms back on May 8, the mini album had a delayed CD release in the United States—meaning that “MY WORLD” was only physically released stateside on June 30, though its songs have been available for download and streaming in the United States since May. As a result, the mini album’s debut on the U.S. charts comes nearly two months after its initial release.
This week, aespa became the fastest K-pop girl group in history to land two albums in the top 10 of the Billboard 200 when “MY WORLD” debuted at No. 9.
Billboard has now revealed more of aespa’s achievements on this week’s charts, where “MY WORLD” entered no less than three different Billboard charts at No. 1.
As the best-selling album of the week in the United States, “MY WORLD” debuted at No. 1 on the Top Album Sales chart, the Top Current Album Sales chart, and the World Albums chart. The mini album also entered the Tastemaker Albums chart at No. 2.
Additionally, aespa re-entered Billboard’s Artist 100 at No. 5, marking their seventh overall week on the chart.
Meanwhile, over two months after its digital release, aespa’s latest title track “Spicy” is still going strong on Billboard’s global charts. The song ranked No. 87 in its ninth consecutive week on the Global Excl. U.S. chart and No. 169 in its ninth week on the Global 200.
