B1A4’s Jinyoung and Baro will not be continuing with WM Entertainment.

All five of the B1A4 members’ contracts with the agency have expired as of June 30. After much discussion over a long period of time, Jinyoung and Baro have made the decision to leave WM Entertainment, while Sandeul, CNU, and Gongchan have renewed their contracts.

B1A4’s contracts originally expired on April 23, but were extended short-term until the end of June in order to thoroughly discuss potential renewal.

On June 30, WM Entertainment announced the news of Jinyoung’s and Baro’s departure from the agency, stating, “We respect Jinyoung’s and Baro’s choices to walk their own paths in order to pursue their dreams. Regarding their decisions to start anew on their own, we also sincerely support their new beginnings.”

In regards to the group’s future, WM Entertainment explained, “We will focus our energy on restructuring B1A4. We will thoroughly discuss the direction of future activities with the members and make a decision. Moving forward, we will wholeheartedly give all of our support and do our best for CNU’s, Sandeul’s, and Gongchan’s advancement. We will do even better for all the fans who love and support B1A4 unconditionally as well.”

The agency concluded, “We want to sincerely apologize to the fans for worrying you all. We ask that you continue to warmly love them as always and give your blessings to these B1A4 members who are standing in front of a new starting line.”

B1A4 debuted in 2011 with “O.K,” and went on to release many more hits like “What’s Happening,” “Solo Day,” “Lonely,” “Baby Good Night,” and “A Lie.” Both Jinyoung and Baro also have risen as actors, starring in popular dramas like “Moonlight Drawn by Clouds” and “Reply 1994” respectively. Jinyoung has made a name for himself as a songwriter as well, having composed for not only his own group, but also for I.O.I and Oh My Girl.
