“Exhuma” is setting a new record with an unrivaled run at the Korean box office!
On April 2, the Korean Film Council announced that as of April 2 at 12 a.m. KST, the hit occult film officially reached a total of 11,003,304 moviegoers.
“Exhuma,” which hit theaters on February 22, showcased unabated box office success and reached the 10 million moviegoers mark in just 32 days since its release. Not only is “Exhuma” the first film of 2024 to reach the milestone, but it is also the first Korean occult horror film ever to hit the 10 million mark and is continuing its box office run by exceeding 11 million moviegoers in just 40 days.
Despite the barrage of new films such as “Troll Factory” and “Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire,” the Korean occult film ranked first in the weekend box office, captivating 418,002 moviegoers from March 29 to 31.
The production company SHOWBOX posted a group photo of the “Exhuma” stars Choi Min Sik, Yoo Hae Jin, Kim Go Eun, and director Jang Jae Hyun as well as a life-size cutout of Lee Do Hyun, celebrating their new milestone.
Congratulations to the cast and crew of “Exhuma”!
