Seo Kang Joon and Jin Ki Joo’s upcoming drama “Undercover High School” (literal title) has revealed more of its cast lineup!
“Undercover High School” is a comedy action drama that follows Jung Hae Sung (Seo Kang Joon), a National Intelligence Service (NIS) agent who goes undercover as a high school student to track down Emperor Gojong’s missing gold.
Jin Ki Joo stars as Oh Soo Ah, a temporary Korean history teacher who also serves as Jung Hae Sung’s homeroom teacher. Known for her unwavering dedication to her students and intolerance for injustice, Soo Ah is a beacon of positivity in the classroom. However, her world is shaken when she notices an uncanny resemblance between Jung Hae Sung, the new student in her class, and her childhood first love—the one who left her with a deep emotional scar.
Jeon Bae Soo plays Ahn Seok Ho, the warm and fatherly team leader of NIS’s Domestic Division 4. He took in and raised Jung Hae Sung after the sudden disappearance of a senior. Ahn Seok Ho does everything he can to protect Jung Hae Sung, becoming his steadfast mentor and supporter.
Yoon Ga Yi stars as Park Mi Jung, Hae Sung’s senior at the NIS and an indispensable member of the team, handling everything from document forgery to hacking. Her sharp intellect and witty banter add humor to the team dynamics.
Jo Bok Rae takes on the role of Go Young Hoon, an NIS agent with a notably older appearance despite being Hae Sung’s junior. Brimming with enthusiasm and deep respect for Hae Sung, Young Hoon is always eager to follow his lead. During Hae Sung’s undercover mission as a high school student, Young Hoon steps in as his “uncle” and serves as his protective guardian.
Lee Seo Hwan portrays Kim Hyung Bae, the fiery and unpredictable director of NIS’s Domestic Division. As the mastermind behind the undercover operation, his true allegiance remains a mystery, adding a layer of suspense to the story.
Kim Shin Rok stars as Seo Myung Joo, the head of Byungmun Foundation and director of Byungmun High School. Ruthless and calculated, Seo Myung Joo will go to any lengths to protect what she deems hers. Her unyielding resolve makes her the ultimate archnemesis to Jung Hae Sung, setting the stage for intense clashes.
Lee Min Ji joins as Kim Ri An, a reliable and supportive gym teacher at Byeongmun High School who often gives advices to her colleagues.
Kim Min Ju plays Lee Ye Na, the student council president and only daughter of Seo Myung Joo. Known for her pride and desire for special treatment, Ye Na excels academically and socially but harbors a hidden pain. Her encounter with Hae Sung becomes a turning point, shaking the foundation of her seemingly perfect life.
Park Se Hyun plays Ahn Yoo Jung, a resourceful ally to Hae Sung and a “frenemy” to Ye Na. Publicly portrayed as Ye Na’s close friend, Yoo Jung’s relationship with her is more that of a subordinate to a boss. However, upon discovering that Ye Na has been emotionally abused by her mother, Yoo Jung steps up as a true friend, fulfilling every request Ye Na makes.
Shin Jun Hang stars as Lee Dong Min, a student admitted through the school’s special consideration program. Living modestly with his grandmother in a small basement room, he dreams of becoming a web novelist. Dong Min’s friendship with Hae Sung blossoms when Hae Sung stands by him during instances of school violence. Their bond grows deeper as they team up to unravel the mystery of Emperor Gojong’s gold.
