MBC is gearing up for another year of exciting dramas!
On January 8, MBC unveiled its drama lineup for 2025 including the Korean adaptation of the hit Canadian series “Marry Kills People” (working title), which will be starring Lee Bo Young and Lee Min Ki.
“Mary Kills People” is a black comedy drama about a doctor who illegally assists terminally ill patients with euthanasia and a detective who tracks down her illegal activities. The Korean remake will be directed by PD Park Joon Woo, known for his work on “Taxi Driver” and “Crash.”
Lee Bo Young will be playing the role of Woo So Jung, a veteran emergency medical doctor who saves lives but leads a double life of secretly providing euthanasia to suffering pateints. Lee Bo Young will delicately portray the complicated feelings of the main character as she stands at the cusp of life and death of patients.
Lee Min Ki will play Jo Hyun Woo, a terminally ill patient with a brain tumor. As a charming character with a secret, he begins to transform after meeting Woo So Jung.
Earlier in August, it was also reported that Kang Ki Young will be starring in the upcoming drama as the role of Woo So Jung’s accomplice.
