Won Jin Ah has offered a deeper look into her upcoming film “Secret: Untold Melody.”
A remake of the 2007 Taiwanese film “Secret,” “Secret: Untold Melody” is a fantasy romance that begins when Yoo Joon (Doh Kyung Soo), a piano prodigy and music student, coincidentally meets Jung Ah (Won Jin Ah), who plays enchanting melodies in an old practice room on campus.
Won Jin Ah portrays Jung Ah, a music student harboring a secret she can’t tell anyone. Her portrayal delicately captures the bittersweet journey of her first love with Yoo Joon—from the radiant joy of falling in love with Yoo Joon to the poignant struggle and heartbreak of being unable to fully open up to him because of her hidden truth.
Director Seo Yoo Min shared, “Won Jin Ah’s face embodies both a nostalgic charm and a modern appeal, perfectly capturing the essence of Jung Ah. She evokes a wave of emotions.”
Co-star Doh Kyung Soo also praised her performance, saying, “She captured the character’s strength and vulnerability so well. Acting alongside her gave me so much energy.”
Further highlighting her commitment to the role, Won Jin Ah revealed the lengths she went to for authenticity: “I spent months living as one with the piano, to the point where the piano and the songs felt like an extension of myself.”
“Secret: Untold Melody” is set to premiere in January 2025.
