NewJeans members have made a generous donation!

On December 19, ChildFund Korea (also known as the Green Umbrella Children’s Foundation) announced that NewJeans members Minji, Hanni, Danielle, Haerin, and Hyein had made a generous donation to support children and adolescents who, despite their young age, must care for family members in need due to old age, disability, or illness. The donation was made under the name of their fan club Bunnies.

Minji, Hanni, Danielle, Haerin, and Hyein donated 100 million won (approximately $68,900) through Green Umbrella to help alleviate the burdens faced by these children and adolescents.

Green Umbrella plans to use the funds to support 30 families across the country, focusing on areas such as living expenses, housing, education, and healthcare. The donation will also help these children achieve independence through career development and employment opportunities.

Minji, Hanni, Danielle, Haerin, and Hyein stated, “We decided to make this donation to provide essential support for the healthy growth of children and teenagers who care for their families and to help them become independent. We will continue to show our interest so that the children can find and achieve their dreams.”

Shin Jung Won, the Head of the Social Contribution Cooperation Division at ChildFund Korea, stated, “We hope this support will greatly help children and teenagers who care for their families reduce their daily burdens and gain time for personal growth and independence. We will continue to provide various forms of support so that more children can grow up surrounded by warmth and support.”
