MBC’s upcoming drama “Motel California” has released the first stills of Choi Hee Jin’s character!
“Motel California” is a romance drama written by Lee Seo Yoon and directed by Jang Joon Ho and Kim Hyung Min. It is based on Shim Yoon Seo’s 2019 novel “Home, Bitter Home” (literal title). The story follows Ji Kang Hee (Lee Se Young) who grows up in a rural motel called Motel California. After escaping her hometown, she returns 12 years later to reconnect with her first love and childhood friend Cheon Yeon Soo (Na In Woo) and face new challenges.
Choi Hee Jin takes on the role of Yoon Nan Woo, a kind-hearted veterinarian who is Cheon Yeon Soo’s junior. Nan Woo entered veterinary school out of a love for animals but found her career path blocked after opposing illegal animal experiments on campus.
Just before being pushed into an arranged marriage, she joins an animal hospital thanks to a scouting offer from her senior Yeon Soo. As she becomes confused about whether Yeon Soo’s kindness is a sign of romantic interest, she gets entangled in a marriage scandal with him, adding a twist to the story.
The newly released stills capture the sight of the rookie veterinarian Yoon Nan Woo in her uniform. Nan Woo’s pure and innocent charm creates a stark contrast to Kang Hee’s daring and provocative allure, highlighting the potential conflict between Kang Hee and Nan Woo over Yeon Soo.
