Lee Seung Gi opened up about his proposal song and addressed recent rumors about a supposed fallout with Yoo Jae Suk.
On the December 12th broadcast of SBS Power FM’s Kim Young Chul’s Power FM, actor and singer Lee Seung Gi made an appearance to promote his latest film About Family and his 20th anniversary album With.
Lee Seung Gi, who took on the role of a monk in About Family, discussed his bold decision to shave his head for the part. “I shaved my head to play the role of a monk. If you don’t shave for a day or two, the hair grows back. I had to keep shaving throughout the shoot,” he revealed.
During the radio show, a listener reminisced about Lee’s earlier career as an MC on Strong Heart with Kang Ho Dong, gushing, “It feels like just yesterday you were a rookie MC, but now you’re confidently hosting shows like ‘Sing Again.’ I am so proud of you.”
This prompted Kim Young Chul to ask about Lee Seung Gi’s experience working with Kang Ho Dong on 2 Days & 1 Night and Strong Heart, and with Yoo Jae Suk on Busted!. “Their styles are completely different. Who do you think you click with better?” Kim inquired.
Lee Seung Gi responded, “I think I mesh well with Ho Dong,” but quickly added, “But if I say this, there will be articles on ‘Lee Seung Gi absolutely does not get along with Yoo Jae Suk.’ I once answered a question in an interview, and the articles made it seem like Jae Seok and I had cut ties.”
The multi-talented star also addressed a fan’s story about using his song “Will You Marry Me” as a proposal song. “I actually used ‘Will You Marry Me’ as the entrance song at my own wedding,” Lee Seung Gi shared. “I sang it, and my wife sang the response part. We recorded it and played it at the ceremony.”
However, he noted that he doesn’t sing at weddings, explaining, “It’s hard to say yes to some and no to others. You end up in situations where you agree to one but can’t do it for another, and that gets tricky.”
