Which of the two Choo Young Woos will Lim Ji Yeon choose in “The Tale of Lady Ok”?
“The Tale of Lady Ok” is a new JTBC drama about the intense survival con game of runaway slave Goo Deok (Lim Ji Yeon), who assumes a false identity, and Cheon Seung Hwi (Choo Young Woo), who risks everything to protect her.
Spoilers
On the previous episode of “The Tale of Lady Ok,” Goo Deok unexpectedly crossed paths with Sung Yoon Gyeom (also played by Choo Young Woo), who happened to look so similar to Cheon Seung Hwi that even the keen and discerning Goo Deok confused the two of them. However, their physical appearance wasn’t the only thing the two men had in common: before long, Sung Yoon Gyeom was absolutely smitten with the fake Lady Ok Tae Young, and he wound up surprising her with a formal marriage proposal.
In newly released stills from the drama’s upcoming episode, Cheon Seung Hwi further complicates things with his unexpected return. After Cheon Seung Hwi asked Goo Deok to run away with him and she turned him down, he accepted her decision, wishing her happiness as he went on his way—raising the question of why he would come back after their final farewell.
Meanwhile, Goo Deok still faces the difficult decision of whether to tell Sung Yoon Gyeom about her true identity. If they were to get married, it would be even harder for Ok Tae Young to hide her status as a runaway slave. But just when Goo Deok had decided to reveal her identity to him at the end of the latest episode, she was startled to see her former mistress—making it unclear whether she had been found out.
The next episode of “The Tale of Lady Ok” will air on December 15 at 10:30 p.m. KST.
