Ji Jin Hee, Lee Kyu Hyung, and more are teaming up for a new project!
On December 11, it was confirmed that Ji Jin Hee, Lee Kyu Hyung, Baek Ji Won, and Lee Min Jae will star in the new KBS sitcom “Lolololol” (figurative translation).
“Lolololol” is a situational comedy that follows the stories of Ji Jin Hee, a washed-up actor, and Jo Young Sik, a former successful variety show producer, as they establish and run a new content production company aiming for 3 million subscribers.
Ji Jin Hee stars as Ji Jin Hee, playing a formerly beloved actor and multi-talented entertainer who once ruled the entertainment scene. Known for starring in hit dramas with high ratings, his past fame is now behind him. He now co-leads the content production company “Lolololol Company,” hoping for a fresh start.
Lee Kyu Hyung plays Jo Young Sik, co-CEO of Lolololol Company. A former star producer who made waves with every show he worked on, including setting a record for the highest ratings on a variety show in his debut year, Jo Young Sik’s career faltered after a scandal. Now, in the new age of big content, he reunites with Ji Jin Hee, whose actions left him with severe PTSD.
Baek Ji Won plays the staff therapist at Lolololol Company. With an unusual background, she once led a simple life before retreating to a temple to focus on spiritual practice. Though no one knows why she returned to the secular world, her ability to soothe the weary minds of the company’s employees is expected to resonate with viewers at home.
Lee Min Jae plays a Gen Z workaholic, responsible for the future of Lolololol Company. He combines creativity with decisiveness, ambition with calm, and curiosity with focus—making him a standout character often called a “game-changer.” Though his first project brings painful lessons, he continues to push forward and eventually joins the team. Lee Min Jae’s fresh energy is expected to shake things up among the more seasoned owners.
As former beloved actor Ji Jin Hee and ex-star producer Jo Young Sik work to reclaim their former glory, they promise to bring great energy to the small screen.
“Lolololol” is set to premiere on February 5 next year at 9:50 p.m. KST. Stay tuned!
