“Recently, false information about Dowoon has been spread and shared widely,” the agency stated. “We are determined to take a strong stance against the dissemination of baseless rumors and any defamatory actions targeting DAY6 and its members.”

The statement also included a warning: “If the spread of false information or the escalation of rumors continues, or if actions that damage our artists’ reputations and integrity persist, we will respond with strict legal measures.”

JYP Entertainment emphasized its commitment to protecting its artists, declaring, “We will use every resource available to safeguard our artists and will pursue all legal avenues without leniency or compromise.”

This announcement comes following a recent controversy involving Dowoon. On December 3rd, amid heightened political tensions in South Korea after President Yoon Suk Yeol imposed and later rescinded martial law, Dowoon posted a photo on his social media. The image showed him practicing drums in a military uniform, which drew criticism from some fans due to the politically charged climate at the time.
