ENA’s upcoming drama “Namib” has offered a sneak peek at the special bond between Ryeoun and Lee Jin Woo’s characters as they navigate stories of growth and self-discovery!

“Namib” depicts the meeting of former entertainment agency CEO Kang Soo Hyun (Go Hyun Jung) and longtime trainee Yoo Jin Woo (Ryeoun), who gets kicked out of his agency, as they each head toward their own goals. Lee Jin Woo takes on the role of Shim Jin Woo, a classmate of Yoo Jin Woo who develops hearing loss later in life.

Yoo Jin Woo is a talented trainee who repeatedly fails to debut and is ultimately dismissed by his company. Burdened by debt left by his estranged parents and struggling to make ends meet, he takes on various jobs. One leads him to become a bodyguard for Shim Jin Woo, the son of Kang Soo Hyun, who is also his former agency’s CEO.

Shim Jin Woo, who lost his hearing in an incident and faces bullying at school, is now under Yoo Jin Woo’s protection. His mother hires Yoo Jin Woo to safeguard him, but Shim Jin Woo feels stifled by her efforts and dreams of escaping his parents’ control.

Though they share the same name, Yoo Jin Woo and Shim Jin Woo have different aspirations, challenges, and family relationships. However, their connection through Kang Soo Hyun creates a bond that deeply impacts both. As close friends and allies, the question lingers: Will these two young men achieve their dreams as they journey forward together?

The strong teamwork between Ryeoun and Lee Jin Woo is gaining attention for authentically portraying their characters’ friendship. Ryeoun praised his co-star, saying, “Lee Jin Woo is polite and charming, which makes him incredibly cute. I’m always touched by how thoughtful and attentive he is, even with the smallest details.”

Lee Jin Woo also expressed admiration for Ryeoun, calling him a “reliable older brother.” He added, “During an action scene while filming, he truly looked like a hero and was incredibly cool throughout.” Their mutual respect hints at a cheerful on-set atmosphere and builds anticipation for how the two “Jin Woos” will bring their story to life on screen.

“Namib” will premiere on December 23 at 10 p.m. KST.
