The upcoming Netflix series “Squid Game 2” has unveiled new stills along with character posters featuring Lee Byung Hun and Wi Ha Joon!
“Squid Game” centers on a mysterious survival game with a reward of 45.6 billion won (approximately $33 million) on the line. Season 2 picks up with Seong Gi Hun (Lee Jung Jae), who gave up on going to the United States to pursue his own goals linked to the deadly game he won in Season 1.
The newly released character posters feature Frontman (Lee Byung Hun) and Jun Ho (Wi Ha Joon). First of all, Frontman is standing alone among the Pink Guards, unmasked with a meaningful facial expression. Having hidden behind a mask throughout Season 1 and revealing his face only once at the end, the anticipation builds for what role Frontman will play in Season 2.
In another character poster, the intense gaze and determined facial expression of Jun Ho raise questions about whether he, who faced a crisis at the end of Season 1, will uncover the truth behind the game and reunite with his brother In Ho.
More stills released alongside the posters heighten anticipation for the various new characters and dynamic narrative in Squid Game 2. Unlike his innocent demeanor in Season 1, Gi Hun is now filled with determination and resolve to put an end to the game.
Frontman, who watches him, piques curiosity about their impending confrontation and creates a sense of tension.
The sight of former lovers Myung Gi (Im Siwan) and Jun Hee (Jo Yu Ri) with O and X marks on their chests raises questions about how the game’s theme of “choice” will influence the fates of the participants in Season 2.
The still also features Dae Ho (Kang Ha Neul) with a Marine Corps tattoo on his arm, smiling cheerfully.
