A new season of the popular film series “Tazza” is in the works, and Byun Yo Han may take center stage as its lead!
On November 27, THE FACT reported that the fourth installment of the “Tazza” film series is in production, with Byun Yo Han cast in the leading role.
In response to the report, a representative from Byun Yo Han’s agency TEAMHOPE stated, “Byun Yo Han has received an offer to star as the lead in ‘Tazza 4’ and is currently in discussions.”
The “Tazza” film series is based on the manhwa of the same name by Heo Young Man. It vividly explores the high-stakes world of gambling, from Hwatu (Korean playing cards) to poker, and delves into the intense lives of gamblers.
The first film “Tazza: The High Rollers” starring Cho Seung Woo was released in 2006 and was met with critical acclaim and became a box office hit. The franchise continued with “Tazza: The Hidden Card” starring T.O.P in 2014 and “Tazza: One Eyed Jack” starring Park Jung Min in 2019.
For “Tazza 4,” Byun Yo Han is in talks to play Jang Tae Young, the protagonist in the fourth arc of the original manhwa. The film will be directed by Choi Gook Hee, known for the 2022 film “Life is Beautiful” and the drama “No Way Out : The Roulette.”
