Jung Woo Sung has found himself at the center of fresh allegations, this time involving claims that he sent private messages to several non-celebrity women on Instagram.
On November 26th, screenshots of messages allegedly sent from Jung Woo Sung’s verified Instagram account (@tojws) with a blue checkmark were shared across online communities. These messages show a user, believed to be the actor, initiating conversations with the ladies.
In one of the alleged exchanges, the account wrote, “You have a great job,” followed by, “I came across your feed and felt like you’re someone who really enjoys and excels at your work. I couldn’t help but say hello.” The actor also sent a photo and appeared to share their phone number.
Another screenshot showed him texting, “I got up early because I had to head to Ilsan to confirm computer graphics on a Netflix series I’m producing.” Notably, Jung Woo Sung served as a producer for the Netflix original drama The Silent Sea, which was released in December 2021.
When contacted about the allegations, Jung Woo Sung’s agency, Artist Company, stated, “We cannot comment on personal social media interactions, as they fall under the actor’s private life.”
Following the release of the screenshots, more women claimed to have received private messages from Jung Woo Sung. One influencer shared a screenshot on her Instagram story with the caption, “I’m the girl even Jung Woo Sung slid into the DMs for. Yeah, even he sends thirst traps.” In another case, messages from the account included phrases like “You’re bad” and “I’m upset.” When asked why, the actor allegedly explained, “I’m upset because it’s hard to say hello, and I’m upset just looking at your feed.”
The alleged private messages have since become an internet meme, with users on various platforms mimicking phrases like “You’re bad” and “I’m upset.” Comments such as “Charming Woo Sung” and “Upset Woo Sung” are flooding online communities and social media.
