Mnet has revealed new details about its upcoming audition show “BOYS II PLANET”!

On November 26, CJ ENM confirmed that the second season of “BOYS PLANET” will be titled “BOYS II PLANET” and released a teaser video to generate excitement.

“BOYS II PLANET” will consist of two separate audition programs being produced and broadcast simultaneously in two different languages, following the same format and concept. “BOYS II PLANET” will mark the first-ever global K-pop twin project, with both groups debuting at the same time.

The two shows making up the first phase of the K-pop global twin project will be “BOYS II PLANET K” and “BOYS II PLANET C,” produced in Korean and Chinese respectively. Chief producer Kim Shin Young explained that the project is based on a “multiverse” concept, adding, “While the format has unlimited global potential, we chose Chinese, which is spoken by about 1.5 billion people worldwide, for our first attempt.”

The production team noted, “This will be a journey to discover raw talent from around the world, regardless of nationality. We hope viewers will eagerly follow the K-pop twin project’s first steps to see how the two groups, formed through different programs within a single universe, will look and what kind of synergy they will create when they come together to form one group.”

Candidates for “BOYS II PLANET” can choose between the “K” and “C” programs when applying. Any boy born before January 1, 2012, regardless of nationality, is eligible to apply. The application period runs from November 22 to January 26, 2025.
