Upcoming film “Harbin” has unveiled a new glimpse of Jeon Yeo Been in character!
Set in 1909 and starring Hyun Bin as Ahn Jung Geun, “Harbin” is a historical spy thriller about resistance fighters aiming to end the Japanese occupation of Korea.
Jeon Yeo Been will play the role of Madam Gong, a determined and dignified independence fighter whom the others seek out for help.
The actress recalled, “From when I first read the script, I could feel the dignity and determination unique to Madam Gong, so I felt a sort of anticipation and sense of challenge at the thought of creating this character myself.”
“The entire time we were filming, I kept ruminating on the question: ‘What would it feel like to prioritize something over my life?’” she continued. “I tried to capture the sincerity and passion of the independence fighters as best I could.”
Director Woo Min Ho praised Jeon Yeo Been’s performance, remarking, “I think that Jeon Yeo Been, who poured out incredible amounts of energy, was the best actress to portray the character of Madam Gong.”
“Harbin” will hit theaters on December 25.
