Circle Chart (formerly known as Gaon Chart) has announced its latest batch of official certifications!
In 2018, the Korea Music Content Industry Association implemented a new certification system for album sales, song downloads, and online streaming. Starting with music released on or after January 1, 2018, Circle Chart now certifies albums platinum once they reach 250,000 sales, while albums that have sold a million copies or more receive a “million” certification.
This month, EXO’s Baekhyun received an official million certification for his solo mini album “Hello, World,” which has sold over a million copies since its release in September.
BOYNEXTDOOR earned a triple platinum certification for their latest mini album “19.99,” which has sold over 750,000 copies since its release.
Both PLAVE’s “ASTERUM : 134-1” and Young Tak’s “SuperSuper” were certified double platinum for selling over 500,000 copies each.
NCT WISH earned two separate platinum certifications for their first mini album “Steady”: both the regular version of the mini album and the Nemo version were certified platinum after selling 250,000 copies each.
RIIZE’s “RIIZING : Epilogue,” TWICE’s Tzuyu’s solo debut mini album “abouTZU,” and P1Harmony’s “SAD SONG” were all also certified platinum for selling over 250,000 copies each.
Meanwhile, NewJeans’ 2023 hit “ETA” was certified platinum in the streaming category after surpassing 100 million streams.
Congratulations to all of the artists!
