Jun Ji Hyun and Koo Kyo Hwan are reportedly considering joining forces with acclaimed director Yeon Sang Ho in his upcoming film Colony (literal title).

Representatives from Jun Ji Hyun’s agency, IEUM#, confirmed on October 29th that Colony is “one of the projects currently under review.” Similarly, Koo Kyo Hwan’s agency, Namoo Actors, stated that the show is under “consideration.”

Colony refers to a group of individuals of the same kind who come together to function as a single entity, sharing roles and responsibilities in a tightly-knit society. The project is set to expand the universe of director Yeon Sang Ho, who created the zombie hits Train to Busan, Peninsula, and the animated prequel Seoul Station, generating high anticipation.

Koo Kyo Hwan has a history of collaborating with Yeon Sang Ho, from starring in Peninsula (2020) to Monstrous (2022) and Parasyte: The Grey earlier this year. His recurring work with Yeon has even earned him the title of the director’s “persona,” making a potential reunion in Colony particularly intriguing.

Meanwhile, Colony is slated to begin production in early 2024.
