Seolhyun is set to showcase a new side of her through the upcoming drama “Light Shop”!
“Light Shop” follows the story of a unique lamp store that illuminates a dark alley and draws in mysterious guests with hidden secrets. The series is based on a webtoon by artist Kang Full. After writing the drama adaptation of his webtoon “Moving,” Kang Full also wrote the script for this project, which marks actor Kim Hee Won’s directorial debut.
Seolhyun takes on the role of Ji Young, a mysterious figure with an unknown purpose, promising a transformation unlike anything seen before.
In the newly released still below, Ji Young sits alone at a dark bus stop, waiting for someone. Her long dark hair falls over her face as she keeps her head down, creating an eerie atmosphere.
Another still below captures Ji Young with her chilling gaze as she visits the “light shop,” raising curiosity about the story she is hiding.
Seolhyun shared, “I tried my best to embody the original character as much as possible and aimed to lower my tone of voice compared to usual. I also met with the director separately to practice and fine-tune the character’s tone,” revealing her dedication and passion for perfectly expressing the character.
Kang Full, the writer of the original webtoon, was highly impressed with the result, saying, “It felt like the real-life Ji Young was there on set,” raising anticipation for Seolhyun’s performance.
“Light Shop” will consist of a total of eight episodes. Four episodes will be available on December 4, followed by the release of two episodes each week for the next two weeks.
