MBC’s upcoming drama “When the Phone Rings” has shared an intriguing, tension-filled preview!
Based on a web novel, “When the Phone Rings” depicts the romance of a couple that married for convenience as they receive a threatening phone call.
The first teaser video begins with Baek Sa Eon (Yoo Yeon Seok), who seems to have it all—family background, handsome looks and abilities—standing in front of numerous cameras and reporters. He confidently states, “I am Baek Sa Eon, spokesperson for the Presidential Office,” leaving a strong impression with his charismatic presence.
However, the atmosphere takes a drastic turn when Sa Eon receives a threatening phone call. At the same time, his wife Hong Hee Joo (Chae Soo Bin), who is in an arranged marriage with Sa Eon, is seen breathing heavily and trembling with fear inside a car, raising tension. Viewers are curious to find out who is threatening the couple and why.
As Baek Sa Eon continues his confrontation with the mysterious blackmailer, he ultimately loses his composure and delivers a chilling warning: “Forget about being arrested peacefully. I will catch you with my own hands.”
