MBC’s upcoming drama “When the Phone Rings” has offered a sneak peek of its first poster!
Based on a web novel, “When the Phone Rings” depicts the romance of a couple that married for convenience as they receive a threatening phone call.
The teaser poster features Yoo Yeon Seok as Baek Sa Eon and Chae Soo Bin as Hong Hee Joo in an intriguing pose. Sa Eon holds a phone tightly with a serious expression as if he is waiting for a call. Next to him, Hee Joo has a complex look that doesn’t reveal her true feelings. The two stand back to back, looking intently in the same direction, which adds to the curiosity about their relationship.
The phrase, “Everyone has secrets. Don’t you have any? Things that you are hiding from me,” is paired with the shadows of the two characters facing each other, creating a striking effect. As the poster hints at hidden twists, curiosity grows about the secrets Sa Eon and Hee Joo are keeping from one another and how those secrets will impact the story as it unfolds.
The production team said, “We wanted to capture the changing emotions and situations of Sa Eon and Hee Joo, beginning with the threatening phone call. The contrasting feelings of the two characters, along with their shadows, are key elements of the teaser poster.” They added, “Please look forward to the amazing chemistry and performances of Yoo Yeon Seok and Chae Soo Bin, who will deliver both striking visuals and exceptional acting.”
