ITZY’s Chaeryeong recently found herself apologizing after expressing her fondness for SM Entertainment during a conversation with Kim Jae Joong. The YouTube channel Jae Friends released a new video titled “Something different: the K-POP group that can do all | ITZY, Kim Jaejoong.”
During the video, Kim Jae Joong reminisced about the cafeteria at JYP, prompting Yuna to explain that they relied on partner restaurants instead of having a cafeteria in their earlier days. Jae Joong reflected on his trainee days, saying, “We only ever ate Chinese food… Those were desperate times.” His anecdotes about meal restrictions added a nostalgic touch to the discussion.
Kim Jae Joong also commented on airport fashion: “You can see how artists feel when they’re in places filled with cameras. ITZY really works hard.” Yuna added, “Personally, I wonder how long reporters will keep snapping pictures of me at the airport. I want to look my best when I’m being photographed.” Kim Jaejoong encouraged her, saying, “That’s very idol-like. If you have friends like Yuna who think like that, the group will last a long time.”
Expressing curiosity about JYP’s training, Kim Jae Joong asked Chaeryeong and Yuna about their experience. They explained, “We received training in character development and various other subjects. They even taught us dining etiquette and how to receive wine properly.” Kim Jae Joong mentioned, “People know I’m close with JYP. I have a good relationship with them,” Chaeryeong chimed in, “I really liked SM,” quickly adding, “Oh, I’m sorry!” Kim Jae Joong responded with a laugh, saying, “Why? I love SM, too!”
