The upcoming new film “Deadline” has unveiled its main poster and trailer!
Based on a true story, “Deadline” follows workers at the Pohang steel furnaces, which were ravaged by a mega typhoon in 2022, as they strive to prevent a catastrophic explosion. The movie stars Gong Seung Yeon, Park Ji Il, Jung Suk Yong, and more.
The newly released poster depicts the damaged steel plant, shrouded in heavy rain and surrounded by billowing smoke and red, rusty water, signaling the imminent danger the facility faces.
The striking caption in the middle, “Imminent, unprecedented emergency. Save the iron heart of 1500 degrees,” heightens the suspense and foreshadows the daunting challenges the workers will encounter in their fight to save the facility.
The accompanying teaser video starts by showing Yoon Hwa (Gong Seung Yeon), a current affairs TV producer who discovers that the lights of the Pohang plants, which have been continuously lit for the past 50 years, have gone dark for four straight days. The video then portrays the extensive damage inflicted on the furnaces by the floods caused by the typhoon.
As the clock ticks, the workers are dispatched to the facility to avert a potentially devastating explosion within seven days, caused by the dangerous interaction between the superheated rusty water and the cold water from the typhoon. Viewers are left wondering whether the workers can save the plant in the face of nature’s power in this film.
