The winners of the 2024 Buil Film Awards have been announced!
On October 3, the 2024 Buil Film Awards were held in Busan, with Kim Dong Wook and Go Ah Sung hosting the event. First introduced in 1958, the Buil Film Awards are the oldest domestic film awards in South Korea and typically take place during the Busan International Film Festival.
This year, both “Revolver” and “12.12: The Day” dominated the night, each taking home three awards. “Revolver” won Best Film, Best Supporting Actress (Lim Ji Yeon), and Best Cinematography, while “12.12: The Day” secured Best Actor (Jung Woo Sung), Best Director, and Male Star of the Year (Lee Jun Hyuk).
Kim Geum Soon won Best Actress for her role in “Jeong-Sun,” while Song Joong Ki and Lim Ji Yeon were awarded Best Supporting Actor and Best Supporting Actress, respectively, for their performances in “Hopeless” and “Revolver.”
Additionally, Shin Hae Sun took home Female Star of the Year for her role in “Following.”

Best Cinematography: Kang Guk Hyun (“Revolver”)
Best Screenplay: Kim Mi Young (“A Lonely Island in the Distant Sea”)
