“What Comes After Love” has unveiled a heart fluttering behind-the-scenes look!
“What Comes After Love” is a new romance drama based on the bestselling joint novel by Korean writer Gong Ji Young and Japanese writer Tsuji Hitonari. The novel tells the love story of a Korean woman named Hong (Lee Se Young) and a Japanese man named Jungo (Sakaguchi Kentaro) who meet and fall in love in Japan, then reunite in Korea five years after their breakup.
In the newly released video, Lee Se Young and Sakaguchi Kentaro showcase undeniable off-screen chemistry. Before filming, they take turns drawing in a notebook, sharing laughs and conversations that later carry over into their on-screen connection.
The rehearsal process is filled with lighthearted moments. In one scene, Sakaguchi Kentaro practices writing in Korean, and Lee Se Young adorably praises him as he pretends to write in the air. Another scene, where the two share a meal, becomes a playful moment as Lee Se Young exaggerates her Japanese tone, with Sakaguchi Kentaro humorously following suit.
The camaraderie extends beyond the script as Lee Se Young and Sakaguchi Kentaro serve as each other’s language tutors. While waiting for filming to begin, Lee Se Young quizzes Sakaguchi Kentaro on Korean phrases, offering gentle corrections. Sakaguchi Kentaro also compliments Lee Se Young’s Japanese skills and helps her with her lines, creating a supportive, playful dynamic throughout the shoot.
The video highlights not just their professional rapport but also the genuine friendship that brings their characters to life in “What Comes After Love.”
