MBC’s upcoming drama “Doubt” has released new stills highlighting the tense dynamic between Han Suk Kyu and Oh Yun Soo as on-screen husband and wife!
“Doubt” is a psychological thriller about the dilemma faced by Korea’s top criminal profiler Jang Tae Soo (Han Suk Kyu), who unexpectedly discovers his daughter’s secret related to a murder case that he is investigating.
Oh Yun Soo plays Yoon Ji Soo, the ex-wife of Jang Tae Soo and mother of Ha Bin (Chae Won Bin). Yoon Ji Soo is central to the story involving Jang Tae Soo and his daughter, adding to the mystery. As the layers of a family shattered by doubt are revealed, the drama promises plenty of shocks and twists.
In the released stills, Oh Yun Soo creates an atmosphere shift with her presence. Her resentful, reproachful look toward her husband Tae Soo and her desperate embrace of her young daughter Ha Bin spark curiosity about Ji Soo’s story. Oh Yun Soo also plays a wife who experiences tragedy with her husband due to a past event. The stills alone build anticipation for the intense performances these two acclaimed actors are set to deliver.
Through this drama, Oh Yun Soo and Han Suk Kyu have reunited after 31 years. They last appeared together in the MBC drama “Son and Daughter” that was broadcast from 1992 to 1993. Reflecting on their reunion, Oh Yun Soo said, “I worked with Han Suk Kyu in ‘Son and Daughter,’ but we didn’t share many scenes. When I heard he was doing this project, I was excited about the chance to work with him. It was surprising and delightful to reunite as a married couple in this drama.”
Oh Yun Soo shared why she decided to join the project, saying, “The script was captivating. Each episode intrigued me, and I was eager to see what would happen next. After meeting with director Song Yeon Hwa, I felt confident about the project.”
She went on to explain, “My character Ji Soo has a secret, and her hidden story is intricately woven into the plot. When you watch, you’ll see how well-crafted the script is. I’m so excited that I can’t wait for the broadcast myself.”
The first and second episodes of “Doubt” will be extended to 90 minutes and air on October 11 and 12 at 9:40 p.m. KST.
