Actor Song Kang Ho is set to make his return to the small screen!
On September 12, Hive Media Corp announced that “Inside Men,” the highest-grossing R-rated movie of all time in Korea which also won Best Picture at the Grand Bell Awards and the Blue Dragon Film Awards, will be made into a drama. They also confirmed that actor Song Kang Ho will be part of the cast.
The drama, tentatively titled “Inside Men,” will delve into events and characters from the 1980s and 1990s. Song Kang Ho will portray Lee Kang Hee, a figure who orchestrates and influences the political and economic scene in South Korea. The performance of the renowned actor, known for his roles in films such as “Parasite,” “A Taxi Driver,” “The Attorney,” and “The Host,” is highly anticipated.
The drama will be directed by Mo Wan Il, who directed “The World of the Married” and “Misty” as well as the recently released Netflix series “The Frog.” The script will be written by Lee Ki Chul, known for “Escape from Mogadishu,” “Assassination,” and “The Thieves.”
Meanwhile, the drama will be produced by Hive Media Corp, the company behind films such as “12.12: The Day,” “Deliver Us from Evil,” and “The Drug King.” Pre-production is currently underway, with filming scheduled to start in 2025.
