Cho Seung Woo may be teaming up with Nam Joo Hyuk and Roh Yoon Seo in the upcoming series “Donggung” (literal title)!
On September 11, it was reported that Cho Seung Woo will star in the new drama “Donggung.”
In response to the report, Cho Seung Woo’s agency Goodman Story commented, “It’s a project he is positively reviewing.”
“Donggung” is a dark fantasy action historical drama set in the depths of a mysterious palace plagued by ghosts. To solve this issue, a ghost slayer and a court lady secretly infiltrate the palace.
Cho Seung Woo has reportedly been offered the role of the palace king, who is at the center of the story.
Back in June, Nam Joo Hyuk was revealed to be in talks to play the ghost slayer, while Roh Yoon Seo is in discussions for the role of the court lady.
According to the report, Cho Seung Woo’s potential involvement is linked to his long-standing relationship with director Choi Jung Kyu, with whom he worked in the 2012 drama “The King’s Doctor.” The project not only marked Cho Seung Woo’s drama debut but also earned him the prestigious Daesang (Grand Prize) award.
“Donggung” is currently in discussions to be released on a global OTT platform. Stay tuned for more updates!
