Lee Byung Hun has stepped up to support singer Park Jin Young’s 30th-anniversary concert, “Tantara JYP.”
On Wednesday, KBS announced that Lee Byung Hun will narrate the prologue and epilogue videos for the significant public concert project, “KBS Special Project—30th Anniversary Tantara JYP,” delivering a heartfelt account of Park Jin Young’s musical journey through his voice.
In a span of nearly 30 years, Park Jin Young and Lee Byung Hun have reached legendary status in their respective fields. They have maintained a good friendship through various television productions and events. Despite his busy schedule, Lee Byung Hun accepted the offer to narrate, building excitement.
Since debuting as a KBS talent in 1991, Lee Byung Hun has established himself as a leading actor in South Korea, transitioning seamlessly between dramas and films. His notable works include hits like All In, Iris, Mr. Sunshine, Joint Security Area, Masquerade and Inside Men. He continues strengthening his global presence as a cast member of the upcoming Netflix series Squid Game.
Lee Byung Hun’s mother previously revealed on MBN’s Let’s Go GO2 that she was strict when raising him. “In the modern era of parenting, I would have ended up in jail for how strict I was with Lee Byung Hun. Even now, my children don’t disobey me,” she shared.
Lee Byung Hun also opened up about experiencing panic attacks while on a plane. During an interview for the film Emergency Declaration in July 2022, he shared he has vivid memories of asking for planes to land because he struggled with panic attacks in the air.
The story of Park Jin Young’s 30-year musical career, narrated by Lee Byung Hun for “KBS Special Project—30th Anniversary Tantara JYP,” will move the audience deeply. The show will air for 150 minutes on September 16 at 8:30 PM KST on KBS 2TV.
