BTS’s RM’s documentary film will have its world premiere at the Busan International Film Festival (BIFF)!
Titled “RM: Right People, Wrong Place,” the film explores the creation of RM’s album “Right Place, Wrong Person,” released in May. It has been selected for the Open Cinema section of the 29th BIFF, which highlights new films that are both artistically significant, popular, and have attracted international attention.
The documentary will be shown at the Busan Cinema Center’s outdoor theater. This is the first time a K-pop documentary has been chosen for the Open Cinema section, with plans for a large outdoor screening to follow.
The film showcases the eight-month process of creating RM’s second solo album and features candid interviews with him. It also explores RM’s journey as a BTS leader, solo artist, and individual. The title “Right People, Wrong Place” symbolizes the search for one’s true self and the right place as the lines between “right” and “wrong” become less clear.
Directed by Lee Seok Jun, who also worked on BTS’s j-hope‘s solo album “Jack In The Box,” including the tracks “Arson” and “MORE,” the documentary features striking, art-film-like visuals.
RM’s agency BIGHIT MUSIC stated, “We are honored to premiere RM’s documentary at the Busan International Film Festival. We hope the message RM aimed to share through his second solo album reaches everyone and that viewers find moments for reflection while watching the film.”
